This document brings together the founding acts of the Amazon Parliament (PARLAMAZ), recording the proposals, declarations, and resolutions adopted between 1988 and 1989 to establish a permanent parliamentary body for cooperation among the Amazonian countries.
These decisions set out the objectives of strengthening political and legislative integration across the region, promoting the sustainable development of the Amazon, protecting its natural resources and peoples, defining the institutional structure of the Amazon Parliament, and consolidating its joint work among the signatory countries of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty.
